For Lease

Occasionally, one of our privately owned lesson horses may become available for a partial on-site lease. Applicants must have previous horse experience, be confident enough to handle a horse on their own, and supply two equine-related references (previous riding instructor, farrier, vet, etc). Leases are non-jumping and ideal for the rider looking for extra time in the saddle on a safe, quiet horse. Each lease is paid monthly and all tack and grooming supplies is provided. Leasees must visit within barn hours (listed on boarding page).

Teddy

Teddy is a 22-year-old (approximate) 15H stocky morgan x draft cross that is best suited for an intermediate level rider confident at the walk and trot. On the ground, Teddy can be grumpy until he gets to know you. He is a fun, safe ride under saddle and prefers walk/trot. He also enjoys trail rides. Teddy is used in our lesson program and ridden weekly by a 12-year-old.

 

He is available for a 3x a week lease at $300 per month.

Ghost

Ghost is a 20(ish) TBx that has been used in a variety of disciplines from a polo pony to carnival rides to a lesson horse! He is sweet and easy to handle on the ground and undersaddle. Stocky 14.3H. Walk/(forward) trot/canter and loves a good trail ride. Ghost goes happily in a hackamore and has excellent brakes. Just a good overall guy. 

 

He is available for a 3x a week lease at $325 per month.

Duchess

Duchess is our oldest horse on the farm at 35-years-old. She is a sweet lady full of personality! Currently, Duchess is only available as a care lease (no riding). She loves to be brushed, led on the trails, and just loved on. If you want to spend time at the barn with a doting companion, Duchess is your gal.

 

She is available for a 3x a week lease at $175 per month.

Boomer

Boomer is a 16H, 7-year-old OTTB. Quiet for his age, Boomer is best suited for an intermediate-advanced rider that has ridden thoroughbreds before. He is more "whoa than go" under saddle and is currently being ridden by a professional trainer 1x a week. Full of goofy personality, he's coming along nicely at the walk/trot and starting to work on his collected canter. Boomer is pretty unflappable and content to stroll around on a loose rein or get to work when asked. Green but safe, he is Jillian's personal riding horse.

Boomer is available to the right rider 3x a week at $400 per month.
